A picture in itself is not a worthwhile pursuit. A picture just like words serves a purpose.
This is an ongoing project, these pictures are people that I am currently writing a story about
Ander’s, The Friend of Consistency
Reflecting over the last five years of my life I think of my three closest friends. My roommates. I think in a sense we all might be surprised that each of us calls one another a close friend, at the same time we aren’t surprised, and we would be shocked to hear each other question the roles in eachothers lives. We all failed each other pretty heavily through college, but also were there for eachother to make things right, learn, and grow. I am forever thankful for those guys.
Anders has worn the hat of roommate, boss, classmate, Jimmy John’s coworker, climbing partner, teammate, and one time the pedals to my steering up a mountain. Through thick and thin our friendship is most measurable by having the honor of being the best man in his wedding. I don’t say that to bring praise to me but to highlight how close our friendship is.
Anders was consistent in my life. He showed up when life happened. He listened when things were hard. For four years of living in the same town he was always there. That to me built our friendship in the most simple yet strong way.
Anders taught me a profound lesson over four years. Consistent direction towards God and consistency are two of the most influential and impactful things that we can do. Sometimes it’s really big steps that we take in our life progression, but more than not it’s small steps and daily interactions that lead us to where we go and who we impact.
